Wiring in series increases (doubles) the output voltage.
I have two 150 watt panels on my AF, and would like to upgrade to AGM batteries, because the wet cell batteries are failing, and it's impossible to check the water in them without un-wiring them and completely removing them.
You might want to consider getting one of the auto water refill kits. There is no need to even pull out the battery tray. Just pull out the rubber fill hose, stick it in a gallon of distilled water, and pump the rubber ball until you can't pump anymore. All the cells will then have the same amount of water in them. I used one of these kits in my old MH and also in my AF until I went to AGMs.
