Back in the late '50s, and '60s GM had issues with the motor mounts on high performance V-8s. When we where building them up the problem was worse. Nail a 12 sec car on a city street, the engine rocks up, binds the throttle WFO, will get even a young man's heart rate up. Hot Roders started putting turn buckle frame to head.
GM had a recall in late '60s/early '70s. Dealer installed a cable from frame to head. But the newer mounts had steel tabs to limit motor rock if the rubber broke.
