air cond run time
will it hurt for the a/c to run for extended amount of time when its hot outside say 4 or 5 hours straight

BNSF uses the same A/C units on their locomotives, for the cab. I am betting they run several days straight on occassion, without issue.
I've run mine 12-14 hours straight, no problems.
