I happen to like the 450.
I like the 4:30's.
I love the turning radius.
I'm probably over the GVWR.
I'm pretty sure that I don't care.
Trucks are personal. Pick what floats your boat.

I agree with Bedlam, 450 for hauling. If you want to carry more then jump to a 550.

I keep observing those commercial car haulers as it is amazing how technology changed in last years.
Now you see double decker trailer with 5 cars on it pulled by 350/3500 class truck.
With engines reaching and exceeding 400 HP the pulling power is no longer issue, while those truck can carry weight of goosneck trailer.
Point is that even I have seen couple F450 truck doing the job, most of the time it is Dodge 3500.
so how TC weight compares to goosneck with 5 cars on it?

Really, you run into the same problem with F250's as you do with F450's: In order to keep them in a certain licensing class, the manufacturer has to rate them with an artificially low GVWR.

It's not that the truck is "unsafe" if loaded over the GVWR. The problem is in LICENSING the truck for commercial purposes. Raising the GVWRs puts the trucks in a different, more expensive weight class so the manufacturers are understandably hesitant to do that.

Or in one sentence. Nothing has changed. 450 is still has more available capacity than the 350, but the 350 is jsut fine too!

Stop thinking and buy the truck you want. Both will do what you want with ease and the 450 will be even stouter than the 350 period.
