It just goes to reason that if Ford sells the most Diesel trucks they would have a proportional amount of problems. Just like the Captain I am deleted and EGRless. I get approx 15 MPG now which is amazing considering the weight of an F450. The biggest problem with any turbo diesel is the EGR system putting unburned fuel back into the intake tract, resulting in an ooey gooey mess. The issue with deleting and engine melt down is that most people do it for the power and not the reliability factor. Every manufacturer has design flaws that show up in vehicles after they are in the hands of consumers. I don't care what you drive and I hope everyone has the good fortune of a reliable vehicle no matter what the brand.
