Alrighty gents... and a few ladies... looking at an 09 F350

Hi all,

I am looking hard at this truck, drove it yesterday. It seems great.

what's the skinny on the 6.4L ?

    I get about 10 to 12 mpg towing. It's a great engine with no problems after 60k miles. It's a beast pulling my heavy TT.

    Lots of power but, as Donn noted, very thirsty. Check out Powerstroke.org if you want detailed information.

    Decent truck if taken care of. The 6.4 has a less than stellar record and is generally noted as a fuel hog. There are better trucks out there for sure. Remember it was a IH motor at the end of the Ford/IH relationship.
