I don't see how it would gain you anything.

AND would be hard to implement, since the rectifiers and regulator are typically built into modern alternators.

I don't see pictures but what's the point? There is no free energy. If it takes 4 HP to turn the alternator it will take an additional 4 HP to move the vehicle because of the drag on the tire. You might as well get that power directly from the engine with an engine mounted alternator and save the crazy set-ups.

I replaced the charging wire from my truck's fuse box(main positive terminal) to the 7 pin(and the brake wire too) with 10ga and ran a dedicated ground wire from the 7 pin back to the truck battery. charging wire has a 30 amp inline fuse.

Just run your generator a bit if charging on the road is important?

no advantage to doing that unless you coast downhill a lot. your better off installing a higher output alternator on your engine prices are reasonable now around $140.00 for a 200 amp one. or you can get 250,300 amp or higher ones too. or you could add a 2nd one on the motor. the competition car stereo guys run 3 or 4 extra 370 amp ones in there cars. check these out high output alternator
