I too like the Andersen, I do have the fifth wheel prep on my 2014 , I can go either way, gooseneck ball or the standard rail mount Andersen Hitch . At present I have a 18K slider mounted on the Reese picture frame, I had the hitch in my previous truck, so I just went with the picture frame. At this point I could sell just the hitch, and go the Andersen with the standard rail mount, which will fit on my Reese picture frame.
If you go to the information I gave on my previous post, you will get the answer you need on clearance, there seems to be no issue with the Ram short beds , and the Andersen hitch, but read for yourself, lot of good info on the Andersen.
