I have the Andersen rail-version hitch. The trouble I have with it is this: I have a long bed, so the socket of the adapter was placed towards the rear of the hitch pin. I am by myself now so to align the ball with the socket (front to back) I have to get in and out of the truck multiple times, as-in pull forward, or back slightly, etc. to align the ball and socket. If one has a spotter, it would be a lot easier. I had enough of that, so I bought a used Husky slider (I don't need the slider portion) and it is much easier to connect to the hitch pin. With that said, I am tired of the chucking noise of the Husky, so this next spring I will figure out a way to make it easier for me, myself, and I to hook up to the quiet Andersen hitch. Hope this helps. Don
It does help Don and thanks for the reply. I usually always have someone around to be a spotter. Plus, being mine is a short bed I'll have the ball socket forward of the king pin which should be slightly easier.
