I too think you'll see similar options popping up rapidly in the future. From a design perspective they did a great job of applying the KISS principle with something strong and lightweight with minimal areas to wear or cause problems. For those not needing a slider these hitches are excellent options.
Yup, my statement was not meant to imply one design is better than the other. Its more about the simplicity of the design and how I can see more people getting into the 5er market who would otherwise be swayed away by the thought of what is traditionally perceived to be a complicated/heavy piece of equipment. People/friends I've shown my Andersen to have just been amazed by how simple it is to move, install, and operate.
