The function part I was referring to is the upside down ball and the cup on the hitch. Looks to me like it allows more leeway when hitching.
They both seem like they would function the same after hitched.
Maybe a bad choice of terminology on my part.
I don't see that cup helping much. With two jack legs supporting the weight of the 5'r it's not going to be moving much at all when it comes down. The truck can move fore and aft a bit, but not much side to side. I think in practice it will be like any gooseneck hitch and you will have to line up pretty well before lowering the trailer.
