Depends on your use.
If you want another diesel then there is nothing else to convince you otherwise.
For me, a truck would mostly serve as a commuter, family car, deer hunting truck, and heavy hauler on vacation. I would spring for the gasser.
It really depends on what you want to do with the truck and your expectations.
The 6.0 gasser has 90% of its available 380 lb/ft of TQ at 2,000 rpm, 360 HP is nothing to sneeze at.
As long as your not RPM adverse then the gasser could work.
But if you have it in your mind that you want another diesel... The gasser will not work... Even if it has 500 hp.
Thanks!

I want my TV/Daily Driver to tow Heavy very well, and being a soft riding DD, I will put up with a little harshness in my daily drive and some noise for a TV that is FULLY capable of pulling it's load at speed on the two lane roads to the Coast. You may not mind going 35 mph up a grade, but the 15 cars behind you sure might.
Dude you know I'm a diesel guy same as you but think about what you just said in your last sentence.:S A new Chevy 6.0 would SPANK your old Cummins pulling any grade. It might be revving but it would.
I should hope so it has almost 100 more hp even with my chip I have at most 285 hp and likely about 270 hp.
By the way you quoted jerem0621 your post appears to be saying that the 6.0 gas would be running 35 mph holding up traffic while your TV would be pulling it's heavy load at speed limits. Maybe I misread and the speed limit is 35?
No the speed limit on the Coast highways is 55 mph, traffic usually run about 60, about what I run so as to stay with traffic. When there is a passing lane, I will pull to the right UNLESS there is a car in the next few that is holding up traffic, then I will stay in the left lane and pass them before pulling into the right lane, yes I will hold 60 during that time.
I will also do a normal overtake pass in a area without a passing lane if I have a clear road.
