- iagaryExplorerThere are a lot of travel trailers with "double bunks", meaning bunks supposedly the size of double beds. Most of the makers seem to have some of these models. I find searching on line really helps to narrow down the selection.
- TerryallanExplorer IIMy Apex had bunks that are full sized beds, and the Jayco White Hawk does as well.
- FrankShoreExplorerYes, a lot of Trailer manufacturers make a double wide bunk bed setup, you just have to go to a place like RVTrader.com and put in those parameters and see which mfg is making them.
I do know the Lance 2185 has 3 spacious bunks, wide and nice!
Lance 2185
It can be towed with a Jeep Grand Cherokee - TurnThePageExplorer
- westendExplorerThe bunks in my Starcraft are 33" W x 76" long. I'm 6'2" and have stretched out on one for a nap. My Grandkids use them when they visit and the largest (6') boy sleeps like a rock.
FWIW, I upgraded the foam cushions a few years ago and that's a big factor for comfort. - SoundGuyExplorer

No it doesn't ... what size of trailer are we talking about here? If you're intending to tow with that Sienna listed in your SIG whatever trailer you choose is going to have to be awfully small. - coolmom42Explorer II

True.
Not going to tow with the Sienna.... going either to a SUV with a 5000 lb limit, or 1/2 ton pickup. - SoundGuyExplorer

BIG difference between an SUV with a meagre 5000 lb tow rating and a 1/2 ton truck, especially one equipped with a heavy duty tow package that can tow considerably more. You need to further define the tow vehicle, then decide on a suitable trailer. As an example, for several years we owned a triple bunk bed 24' KZ Spree 240BH-LX which had 2 beds at the rear which ran the full width of the trailer and were a generous 32" wide ... but you'd not tow a trailer like this with any SUV with a 5000 lb tow rating.
Limit yourself to such an SUV and you'll be limiting yourself to some pretty small trailers as well. :R - coolmom42Explorer II^^^I understand that. This is not my first dealings with trailers; I travel with my boyfriend in a larger trailer, but am looking for a smaller one for myself and grandkids when I retire. I've thoroughly researched tow ratings and payloads of assorted vehicles. I also understand it's best not to tow at the limits of the vehicle.
If I can stay under 4000 GVWR I will get a SUV to tow, like a 4Runner or Explorer Sport. If I can't find a trailer to suit my needs under that weight, I will get a truck. Right now am just narrowing down the options. - SoundGuyExplorer

Well if choice of tow vehicle is as fluid as you say then one model you might want to consider is the KZ Connect C231BH with two 40" wide bunk beds. :B
Easy tow for a 1/2 ton but beyond the capabilities of a smaller V6 powered mid-size SUV. ;)
