I have been pulling my boat with a 30 inch extension. It is a 3500 pd boat and trailer together. No super hitch and no problem. My hitch is rated for a 1800 pound tongue weight without weight distribution set up. Pulled several thousand miles with no problem. Not saying this is the way to do it but I have not had a problem.
Which hitch do you have? My Super Hitch is only rated for 1800-18000.
This is the stock hitch that came on my 2011 Chevy. It has the 2-1/2 inch hitch. Class 5. No kidding the tongue weight is rated at 1800 pounds with or without WD.
Yes, but not with a 30" extension. With a 30" extension, you're lucky if yours is rated for 1/3 that amount. 600lbs doesn't leave much for a trailer with a 375lb bike on it.
We are talking tongue weight I have about 350 pds tongue weight on my boat. I certainly would not put 1800 pds tongue weight on with a 30 inch extension. A 600 pound trailer should have a tongue weight under 100 pounds. That I would not worry about. JMHO - mkirschNomad II

This is our third scooter, a small 150 to start, then two 650's. We have always pulled them behind our truck/TC in an enclosed trailer (the 650's). The little 150 was on a flatbed trailer. Boy it sure got dirty, thus the enclosed trailer now. The trailer adds around 200 hitch weight. We use a long hitch extention but still must be careful on very sharp turns. The trailer also comes in handy for hauling a lot of extra items, like lounge chairs and grills ...
For 7 years we led scooter rallies in Alabama and Tennessee. We had all sorts of scooters show up, from 250cc up to 650cc. If I was in the market for a new scooter, I would look at the 250-400cc range.
Del - TiziExplorerinterested in the responses here. we have 1 Honda metro and are considering a 2nd one...

The only problem I had was the little tour pack on the scooter had to be removed because of the head lights. Otherwise it rode ok. No problems loading or unloading.

- BoatycallExplorerYou don't mention what sort of set up you have as far as truck, TC, length of TC, etc... But, that being said, I personally would recommend putting them on back. I have put either a Yamaha Zuma scooter or my Honda XR650L enduro bike on back.
You'll want to get a Torklift Superhitch and SuperTruss to haul your boat anyway, so get a longer Supertruss and mount a bike rail to it in the rear. Supertruss is good up to 1,200lbs of tongue weight, a little scooter is nothing. My 650 is around 375lbs, no problem at all. You should have no problems putting your scooter and your boat on the hitch.
