Money isn't the main issue. Reliability is the main issue. Non-retired folks go out for a weekend or even maybe a week or two once during the year. And they don't travel across the country to get there. Retired folks spend a lot of time on the road. This fall, we're planning on a two month trip across the US. I don't want to spend half of that time parked someplace I don't want to be waiting for a dealer to get to my truck or waiting for parts. Don't get me wrong. I would love diesel performance, but I don't want to give up reliability to do it. Sorry, no diesel envy!
