Personally, I just don't see much justification for lockers for sand because all your rig's tires are on an approximately level surface, with the same traction available for all tires. I have a rig with ARBs front and rear and the only time I ever need to engage them is when I've got one front wheel and the opposite side rear wheel pretty much hanging in the air with NO traction. In sand, airing down and taking it easy on the throttle has always worked.
