I'd say what I see in the pictures is about average for the RV industry. Granted that is a very low bar. At least what you have there is mere incompetence, rather than outright fraud as I found in several places on my Class A motorhome. You just need to set your expectations very, very low, lower them further, and then you will be about right.
We are getting the quality we demand. Almost never at the RV show do I hear, "yes but what about the quality of the build?". Almost never do I see consumers looking underneath and behind drawers to see the many hidden sins. All they ask is "how many will it sleep?" and "can I get a discount?". Occasionally there will appear a brand clearly built better than the rest, but they are not flooded with orders. The vast majority of consumers want price first, and they are only going to own it a few years.
