Don't think he's complaining about the camper in general, I believe he's stating a design deficiency, that I bet is still being employed in the campers built today. IOW, yours will suffer the same fate when it gets older.
I'm willing to be that They have not modified their basic structural design for ever. If it works, why change it.... Just my observance in as much as I don't own one.
