Your FIRST problem is the Government, second is EPA, and then the various states requirements. It was proven the a well tuned gaser was as clean as one with a smog certified one, sometime better! I did have a gaser that would pass smog check's. But! Would be turned down because meet the FEDERAL requirements not the STATE. So every two years smog check time "FAIL", Referee Time "PASS"! 4 hour of wasted time. Just for some MONEY! And I still do. Tried a deisel Smelled and noisy!
