Atwood Fridge Door

Question

So we had our trailer out this past week me and my daughter opened the fridge door which proceeded to fall to the floor. My wife says I had too much beer in the door, not sure how that is even possible lol! Looks like the hing on these doors is plastic! What the hell! On top of that it appears that domestic has purchase Atwood and in classic form has decided not to make replacement parts for the older models. Seem like a great business model to me! Has anyone found a good source for parts? The fridge still works perfect and I hate to spend $1000 on a new fridge because of a **** plastic hing! Oh the model number on my unit is HE-0601.....I have searched the interwebs to no avail other that a listing for the door that is out of stock and explains the purchase of Atwood.

I would bet a Norcold N600 series door would work, though not 100% certain. The box was a Norcold box, slightly modified.

I had a minor issue with our new Norcold bottom hinge be bent downward and not allowing the latch to "click". After looking at it closely, I will be careful about how much weight I put on it.
It's a very weak design.

Ive seen some posts in the past on here where others have made custom replacement hinges from metal.

I'd say keep your whistle pops to a minimum in the door once you get it fixed.
