Average life span for trailer tires?

What brand of tire do you have? Most people cant even get 5yrs, so any tire that last 5 yrs and is not cracked is probably a decent brand.

Mine were in fine condition even if the tread was worn down some after 10 years on my last trailer. Sold it or I likely would still be using them. Check the tires twice a year, they will give warning when they need to be replaced, cracks and surface texture change are easy to spot. Don't forget to check the inside and look for nails in the treads and keep the pressure up.

LT tires. At least five years. After that, annual careful inspection for signs of degrading. Max ten years.

4 years tops for me. Scatter one all over the highway in it's 4th year. You learn a lot

I get 5 years (full warranty period) out of my Maxxis ST tires. I have gone 6+ on one set but got nervous.

I got 3 years out of my stock tires and 5 years out of a set of Maxxis tires. Look very closely for tiny cracks on sidewall and between tread and feel along tread all the way around tire for slight bulges indicating possible tread separation or belt breakage.

Stock tires still looked okay but we went ahead and replaced them with Maxxis tires as we had a 4K mile trip planned in the heat of the summer. Upon very close inspection the stock tires did show signs of possible issues shortly ahead.

If upon close inspection no minor cracks or bulges are detected you could try to get another season out of them. I had plenty of tread but age seems to be more relevant with ST tires and 5 years is a good time to start thinking of replacing them. Never had a blowout while RVing yet.

3 - 5 years depending upon exposure to sun. Cover the tires and take the camper on the road a few times in the winter months too, to keep the tires healthy, they'll last longer. Dry rot is the worst enemy. The more you can keep the tires rolling, the better they stay.

I hitch up about once a month in the winter months and go for a 20 - 30 mile drive. I think this has attributed to my tire longevity (6 years on my previous camper from the time I purchased it).

I think the tire mfg's say 7 years but a lot of people replace after 5 years. Makes a lot of difference if they are in sunlight.

I changed mine last year after 9 years BUT on closer inspection I should not have waited that long. Look for cracks in the side walls and in the treads.

I think 5 years is a good rule of thumb irrespective of mileage.
