- kidscamp2ExplorerWe bought some solar lights, lanterns, etc and they work great next to the beds, especially since the kids would forget to turn off their bunk lights.

Does anyone have a Winnebago Minnie Winnie a new one that just came out have you had any trouble with it at all? I am considering buying one.
Thank you
WE just got ours. Haven't been camping yet but I was running through the systems today and discovered the noisiest water pump I have ever heard. I checked all the lines and nothing is touching a wall or other pipes. Need to call my dealer tomorrow. - ThsldoExplorerIf your talking about camping on SandyNeck on the Cape, you need a motorhome. They do not allow trailers on the beach.

Thank you - tenbearExplorerThe trailer battery is used for many things. The refrigerator, the water heater, the furnace all require 12 volts in addition to the propane. If you have no battery in the trailer and you are not connected to the truck, or plugged in, none of these will work. The 12v wiring from the truck is usually only heavy enough to charge the TT battery when on the road. If you are depending on the truck battery to power the TT, one day you will find the truck battery discharged and you are out of luck.
- opnspacesNavigator IITravel trailers use the single 12volt battery mounted on the tongue to power the breakaway switch and activate the brakes. As has been said the battery needs to be there in case the trailer becomes completely disconnected from the truck. At that point you have just unleashed a 6,000 pound unguided missile across the interstate and possibly into oncoming traffic and you're going to want it to stop as quickly as possible.

I have a brake controller and my truck battery provides the electricity for the electric brakes. I do not have a battery on the front of the trailer and when I pull the pin out the brakes lock up. I don't think the battery on the front is for the brakes, it is to power the lights in the trailer only
Not just wrong, but legally WRONG. Without the trailer battery when the truck and trailer separate the cord will unplug and your emergency brake disconnect will stop working. Put the battery on the frame where it belongs.
Some electric brake systems have their own battery for the break away system. That's what my car trailer has. This could be why his lock up when he pulls the pin, or he's still hooked up to the TV and that power is locking the brakes as well. - Bagger97Explorer

- Caveman_CharlieExplorer IIIf you are always going camping where there are places to plug your camper in you can use a electric space heater to keep it warm inside.
