I recently installed a rail kit for my new 5th wheel hitch which bolts to the frame on the older trucks like mine and you might be able to utilize such a bracket kit..you might look into it. I now have to make a new deck for my bed to go over those rails so I also have a new "raise the deck" project.
Yes, I wouldn't mind eliminating the jacks once I am positive it will all stay in place. We don't use them even when parked. I've been hesitant to remove them currently because I have shifted the camper around a few times, though it's never been necessary, just my OCD wanting it to be aligned perfectly.
