Best 245/75 R16 truck tires

I have had 2 sets of Michelin Tires on my Dodge 2500 Pickup. The first set from factory, the sidewalls rotted away with major cracks. Only 17000 on the clock. Always in the Garage, no tire dressing. I contacted Michelin and they said "Since you don't drive it that much, the oils in the rubber don't lube the rubber". OK 2nd set, Now that my Dodge van has 328000 miles on it, I retired the van and started driving my Dodge 2500 Pickup full time. Well the 2nd set rotted away even faster. Tread like new, sidewalls look like 25 years old. Sure they have a recall for this, but my size was not included. Anyone towing a trailer have good results with your Tow vehicle tires? Brand-Load capacity-noise? All my other vehicles have very old tires, and none have this issue. Searching on-line has not been productive. Thanks
