The Tacoma has been pretty much the leader in the small truck market for a long time with weak competition, so no surprise there, whereas the Tundra is still struggling to get a piece of the full size truck market where it has to compete with very strong competition. Time will tell. Lots of people including myself loved their Rangers ;). I'd love to see it re-introduced.
My understanding is that the global Ranger is a Unibody. I don't know if that is true, but if it is, it would not really go head to head with the Canyon but actually fill a niche for those that don't even need as much pickup as the Canyon. I also think it would be a good idea for Ford to bring a refreshed Ranger to the market. Gas prices will go up and probably with a vengeance, the market will expand for the smaller pickup in my view.- The last Model Year for the Colorado was 2012, with the new vehicle being 2015. The sales reported in January 2014 were of this old model, that had stopped production in 2012.

If that is the case I sure hope the 2015 sells better. Doesn't sound to promising if it took that long to sell out a model that people thought would not be made again. If there was demand in this niche I would think that those interested would have snapped them up.- It was not a very good pickup.

I know that you love to bash GM. Yes, there was still 14 vehicles last January that were delivered. I guess when you have 3000 dealers, some of them are just going to hide them to the very end.

I don't know where you feel I love to bash gm. I was the one that stated gm was poised to take over this niche. But if these were all 2012 model year trucks I don't know how you can consider this an acceptable turnover rate.
And my point was maybe this small truck market is not what some seem to think it will be.
Edit. I miss read your post. I thought you said the 2015 sales were all 2012 model trucks. So in light of this I stand by my original statement that the Colorado has a good chance of taking over this segment.
