Best steps for our tic's ever.

I have had the Torklift Glow steps for over a year and thought they were the best ever. My bigfoot with a basement needs a lot of steps! My original steps were scary to say the least, sagging and swaying. Glow steps ended that... Now Torklift has added a feature to the glow steps that solves all the problems that camper steps need to be perfect, adjustable feet!

Check it out...

Here's a video of the new Glow Steps:

  • So are those feet an option that can be added? I just bought my steps for my camper a few weeks ago and there was nothing like these available at that time.

    It does give me an idea on how to make my own. I'm thinking of infinite adjustment with a screw adjustment I saw on the feet of a ladder recently. Each foot is a threaded shaft that is adjustable.

    Also, a slide-n-lock foot;
  • The Glow Steps are so much better than what came on my camper but they do have that problem with the contact point on uneven ground. This looks to be the fix.

    They made them from steel though? I wonder why.

    One of the things that makes the original Glow Steps (or the many imitators) a bit wobbly is the lowest leg that contacts the ground is a thinnish piece of bent aluminum flat bar. This has very little lateral stiffness. If it is sitting on uneven ground, it has little vertical stiffness.I fixed that on mine.

    Yep, I did the same... SHIMS....

    ...those "steel" jacks look like they've been repurposed from another application. This is often done by manufacturers for many reasons.

    I would have like to have seen aluminum with aluminum (especially, paying big bucks for steps like this).
