Better way to change rear fuel filter on 2016 Cummins?

Does anyone know a better way to change the rear fuel filter (water separator) on a new generation Cummins without getting showered with diesel fuel? I've done it twice now and always get a lot of ...

Open the drain for awhile. Remove the water sensor connector. Remove the whole sensor assembly. Put a garbage bag around the filter and remove it.

You can buy a longer hose for the front drain and tuck it up out of the way.
