I changed my own filters for the first time in May after getting a $400 quote from the dealer. I had already purchased the filters from Amazon but asked anyway. I protected my expensive asphalt driveway with a tarp and went to work. It was not difficult and only a few drips made it past the small pan i used over the driveshaft to catch the rear filter drainage. The front was real easy but I permanently extended the drain tube to behind the axle.
Next time i might try a large funnel for the rear filter but that will not be for quite a while.
