I think of an RV purchase as a three legged stool. The floor plan, the tow vehicle and the cost; all have to be correct for things to work properly.
Once we thought we knew what we wanted, we rented a similar sized TT for a 10 day trip. It was an eye opener. That is how I ended up with an Eco-Boost truck.
