Picked up my camper today from storage and noticed my backup lights (right and left) do not work on the camper. All of my other lights work and the backup lights work on my truck. So my question is, is there a seperate fuse/breaker for the backup lights? Can't find one labeled on my fuse/breaker box on my camper. All of my exterior lights are LED and did notice some moisture in the left led backup lens over the past 3 winters, but never worried about it since they still worked and the moisture disapated over the summer.

Not sure if your Eagle Cap is the same as my Arctic Fox, but I had a similar issue with the clearance lights. Ended up being the connector pigtail that connects the camper wiring to the exterior connector up front, driver side that plugs into the truck, via a short lead to the 7 way plug in the bed. Under the sink in my unit, with some difficulty, I was able to get my hands on the 6 plug connector, pull it apart and fix the offending pin that had pulled back just enough to not make a solid connection. Just get a continuity tester and start at the known point of voltage from the truck and follow it until you find a discrepancy. Fixed mine and it's working so far, so you might check that area.

I had the same problem, no backup lights on TC. I found out it was a fuse on the Silverado specifically used for the backup lights.Joe

I have the same issue. I changed both 4" LED lights(they yellowed anyway) and end of the pig tail and still nothing. Never thought to check the other connection of the pig tail.

I know if I accidentally plug my umbilical in backwards, the reverse lights don't work on the camper but everything else does. It has 7-pin pollack connectors on both ends.Sucks when you have to jack the camper up out of the bed to reach the plug.Ended up marking the truck end with a wrap of black electrical tape.

So they didn't wire the camper plug the same as the truck (i.e. the RV 7-pin standard)? It doesn't make sense to me to use the same type of connector then not wire them the same.
7-pin commercial connection doesn't use the same pin/wire pattern as 7-blade RV connection.

Thanks for the input guys. It was the camper plug, guess I need to do a better job of connecting that thing. Just glad I have FastGuns sure makes the job easier, in fact it was much easier than changing the spark plug in my onboard generator, but that's another story.:)

Getting the camper ready for ski season.

That's weird. I wonder if there's a compatibility issue with your plugs and sockets? The reverse lights are the center pin and it's pretty hard to have that swapped.

I've had camper exterior lighting issues a handful of times. The majority of the times it was a loose wire in the camper plug where it plugs into the truck.
