I much prefer manuel jacks. Less to go wroung, good exercise, lighter, no extra battery power needed, much more reliable. I am somewhat of a minimalist. I still mow my own lawn and clear my own snow sometimes with a shovel. I removed my roof top A/C. I tend to like to keep my money in my pocket. I like to stay active. I am not afraid of a little extra work. At 55 I still do my own framing when I build a structure. If you get to the campsite and you cant wait to hook up the satalite dish and crack a beer you may want electric jacks. If you get there and you cant wait to go on a hike, or wade that trout stream. or kayak the white water, you should do fine with manuel.
