I'm too cheap/ poor to spring $1000+ for some convenience. Having said that, hand cranking gets old fast. Lifting off the truck or leveling at a camp site is not big deal to me... AFTER all four jack feet are on the ground.
Its the minutes of cranking to close the gap between the fully up and touching the ground positions X4 that annoys me.
To be clear: I'm pretty sure it's not "electric vs. hydraulic" - it's electric-motor-cranked hydraulic vs. manually-cranked hydraulic. Someone McGyver-ish enough could probably rig up their own electric motors.
