Too hot in summer in Florida? We were camping in Tennessee summer before last and it was 100 for most of our stay. It was cooler in FL than TN that year, and on the coast we have a sea breeze.
We camp year round down here. We find springs, oceans and pools during the summer for cool wet activities. Kayak fishing is also another past time. Winter months it gets hard to get into State Parks when you work during the week. Between the snowbirds and locals, weekends are tough on reservations.
We lived in Lakeland for 20 years. It is a great location for seeing the state.
