We're seriously contemplating a move to Lakeland, FL. Know summers are a bit on the toasty size, but what is a reasonable amount of the year when you can comfortably camp. We have several side-issue...

Unless you're locked into Lakeland, check the area around Port Charlotte, South Gulf Cove, and Englewood, FL.
There's a baseball spring training facility with stadium for the Tampa Bay Rays, minor league (Charlotte Stone Crabs) as well.
Plenty of homes with large yards, trees and even motorhome and trailer ports.
Close to the coast, low crime with homes prices starting at just over $100k.
