We like the security of the gates. Never had a problem.
As for the fees when cancelling a reservation, they are merely trying to stop people making more reservations than they will actually use. It's not fair, given the competition for sites, especially with all us snow-birds coming down in the winter.
We *really* appreciate the Florida State Parks. They are by far the best campground system we've come across anywhere and provide a lot of "Nature" in an area that is rapidly urbanizing.
