Oh yeah! I love camping in the rain, whether (no pun intended) it be for a weekend (I'm still working) or just for the day. Love the sound, the quality of air, and the visual contrasts created by rain soaked earth and trees against a darkened sky.
But, Lo is me. Living in San Diego means rain is infrequent and this past winter it's been almost non-existent. I fear it will be a long drought in California,and an even longer time before we see any serious rain here.
Sometimes I miss rain so much I scroll over to Eugene, Oregon's animated weather report on my iPhone and stare at their rain!
Apologies if the above comments are insensitive to any folks directly or indirectly related to the disaster in Oso, Washington. My thoughts are with you.
