I use to like to nap in my TT with the door open when it rained but how comfortable are you guys in the all Aluminum campers when there is a lot of lightning?
An all metal TC is a 'safe' place to be in a lightning storm, safer than a non-metal unit. The metal skin acts to direct the strike on the outside (follows the path of least resistance). Using the logic that an all metal TC would be dangerous is ignoring all the cars on the road, they are metal. I do not dismiss the fact that a direct strike can cause damage and/or injury in any type of TC.
Camping in the rain? On our 58-day Alaska trip we had rain, in some form, on 43 of the days, and we used an small 150cc scooter to do all of our sightseeing!! Thanks for GoreTex!!
