Many state and federal campgrounds are not equipped for large capacity filling.
We just stayed at a MN state park last weekend. They have a couple of water spigots in each loop.
But right at the entrance to the park at the visitor center, they have a white hose on a hose reel and a sign that says Fresh water fill.
Also, for those parks that have a dump station, they almost always have a fresh water fill located about 50-75 feet from the dump station.
If you have to use a water thief, you are most likely NOT supposed to be filling your RV directly at that spigot. That is why the park installed spigots without hose threads.
