Yes, it can be reattached. For sure I'd remove it to inspect and let the wood dry from both sides. For what the plastic Darco is worth in terms of what it does, you may wish to use another solution to cover the bottom of the slide floor. Whether that's a paint covering or a sheet of some other material, there is room for improvement.
