Care to guess the new Powerstroke HP and torque rating?

But if you have a need for speed so be it. It seems to feed some ego's, but is it needed in the real world, not!

Several in this thread have called for you to grow up, maybe it is time for you to turn your hat around so the bill is in the front, quit being an attack dog?

These trucks have what is called a "gas pedal" and you control the speed by pressing on it... You can control the speed that your comfortable with.

Having more power produces a truck that can tow easier therefore creating a more enjoyable drive. Not sure how to explain it any clearer but we all know your hatred and alternative motives here so there obviously isn't any surprises. Again the ones you are referring to are all part of the mafia with the same motive just to make it clear.

I don't think any of the yayhoos around here with giant stacks in the beds of their pickups have ever actually entered their trucks in any kind of sanctioned racing. They just like to make a bunch of noise and smoke and look cool with their stacks.

By the way, a diesel in a street driven truck that rolls huge amounts of smoke, is poorly tuned.

And my point was you don't have to be a youngster to have a tuned or lifted truck, mine is lifted for a reason not for looks, tuned for a reason, no more need for DEF fluid, runs cooler (no more recirculating coolant through a EGR cooler), gain MPG and an increase in power. The trailer queen comment, meant to imply that some use their trucks for more then the trip to the local piggly-wiggly etc. I used my truck this last winter as a RV transporter (after lowering it) due to layoffs in the petroleum industry. Will be returning to the petroleum industry and now will re-install my lift kit. BTW, I'm in my 50's...your as old as you wanna be.

P.S. as I did with 2005, she was tuned and lifted a week after buying it new, the 2013 just rolled to 168,000 miles, a tribute to the Cummins, Ram and my driving habits.. :)

Ive aged to where I like my silent diesel that has no scent or cloud.

And I would add "aged to the point" of being the fastest or first to the top of the mountain is not high on the list of things I compare when picking a new truck. We can leave that to the young bulls!

Maybe you have heard the story about the young bull and the old bull looking at the cows down the the valley. The young bull wanted to run down and have his way with one, and the old bull said "lets walk down and have our way with all of them"!

My truck is my play and work truck, working in the oil and gas industry. Have any of you spent day after day in the middle of winter driving through a foot or more of fresh snow to get to abandoned well sites or made trails on old lease roads for the snow plows? Have you had to park your truck in a warm shop for days to "melt" out the snow and ice from the engine bay to change oil/filters? I lift my trucks to keep the snow/ice out, and make it much easier to wash the mud out after those rainy days. But then most of you old farts drive pavement queens anyways and wouldn't understand. As for those with stacks(redonkulous I agree) they most likely (as probably most of you did when younger) drag raced on weekends. Those stacks are a requirement at some drag strips, due to the "clouds of black smoke", with conventional exhaust the staging area can get smoked out making it dangerous for all involved, with stacks the smoke is raised which reduces the amount of smoke at ground level, making it safer for all to see. A lot of the "racers" will have a setup of a "T" in the exhaust where they can temporarily install a stack and cap off the tailpipe, then remove the stack for normal driving. There are plenty of us "tuned trucks" out there, not all blow black smoke!
