carpet wet again.

When I first moved in to my older trailer. I was shocked to see the carpet was soaked. never really figured it out. just sucked it up and it went away. possible cause no psi hooked up to city water. 20 days later I have another soaked spot. its right at the seam where it meets my bathroom floor. no leaks under sink and can't find any leaks from shower. is there a water line that runs directly under the floor from water heater to kitchen? I just can't figure out how the carpet in the room with the couch and tv gets soaked. 1992 skyline aljo. any advice?

  • Probably a drain issue as any supply line leak with the water system active would be pushing a lot more water than just getting a carpet wet. You would probably see water dripping underneath the trailer continuously with a supply piping leak.

My suggestion would be to look for leaks at the drain connections. As was posted above, the shower drain is a known culprit in leaking water underneath the shower pan to adjacent areas of flooring.
  • Could it be that the toilet is intermittently leaking from the floor gasket?
  • The shower drain is loose when you step in it the leak is created when notin it the drain seals
