Ceiling Bubbling up

We have a 2014 Rockwood 32' trailer and I noticed that there were wrinkles in the ceiling along the edge in some places. I felt around it and it's dry and I don't see that it's water damage. Anyone have this same issue? It may be the shifting of the trailer, but would love to hear from others.
  • ceiling. It's at the edge and although it's not bad, it's still annoying. They're like wrinkles.

Can you post a photo? Hard to picture what it looks like without a picture. Is the 1/8" plywood wrinkling or the thin finish layer on it?
  • I'll get a picture as soon as I can; it's in storage. It's just the thin layer.
  • I think that you will find this happens on most trailers. Ceiling has a plastic film bonded to plywood backing. Plastic will shrink when it is cold, pulling our from top of wall, then expand when it gets hot and will not go back in place at wall. With temperature changes and vibration during moving, you will get this "bubbling" at the edges and joints.
  • I think it's possibly the ceiling panels moving when driving. I pull my Jayco off road (very slowly) and there are wrinkles where two panels are joined and covered with a thin strip. It looks like the panel slides back opening the gap and then when it slides into the gap again the vinyl slowly peels and bunches up rather than sliding under the strip.Could this be what you are seeing?
  • Yes, that is what I'm seeing. I'm not that concerned, but if I try and sell it, I can see other people concerned. Thanks.
  • Our brand new trailer has 2 or 3 spots about 3inches long that have this same problem. Just around the edge. I wondered the same thing but when I went to the dealership to look at some other stuff I went inside other new trailers and found the same thing.
