Mrs Clause brought me a Husky Brute 4500 with remotes last year, it pairs beautifully with the Yada backup camera she brought the year before. Now hooking up is so easy, I can see where I`m going and if the tongue isn`t high enough I can raise it or lower it to the ball without getting out of the drivers seat. Once on the ball I get out latch it and hook up my bars.
You are my hero!!! I saw the wireless model on their website. It sounds nice.
Interesting that customer service has been discussed. Earlier this week I emailed Husky for some information on measurements of the motor/head of the unit. I specifically asked how far does the rear of the head stick out past the post.
Me: "how far does the head stick out to the rear? My propane tanks may be in the way. The only info I can find says the head is 11.5 X 6.8 inches."
Response: "those are correct, except the plug cover adds another 2 inches but you can remove that"
My response:"I am looking for how many inches past the back of the metal pole the head of the unit sticks out... The overall length is 11.5 inches. If 7 inches sticks out the back and 3.5 out the front, then my tanks are in the way, if 3 out back and 7.5 out front all is well. Can you provide that info please?"
Response:"your about 3 1/2"
Me again: "is that with the removable bracket or without? Do you have the engineering specs diagram that shows the exact measurements?"
Response: "with"
I stopped at this point.
Maybe I am being too picky. I wanted exact measurements, so I can decide if this works for me, or if I want to relocate tanks, or possibly mount the jack sideways.
I felt like I was having to drag the information out of the person. Not good customer service to me.
