I like the Andersen design. It's pretty innovative and very light weight.
We will likely buy a fiver and a 3/4 ton Ram 6.4 next go around. My hitch of choice right now would be between a Reese dual jaw and a B&W...I like, prefer the Reese dual jaw set up and feel like it's about the best design from a safety stand point. The jaws pivot point is behind the kingpin when hitched up and the harder the TV pulls on the fiver the tighter the jaws shut.
The B&W is very secure as well. I haven't completly got my mind around the locking mechanism behind the B&W hitch head, but I know it's secure... My armchair engineer mind needs to understand the mechanics of something,
Between B&W and Andersen, there is no question in my mind.... B&W. I have studied the Andersen and found it to be a good hitch, but I prefer the traditional style fifth wheel hitch at this point for personal, vote with my money, reasons.
When it comes time for me to actually buy a hitch, it's going to be a tough one for me. Reese is the absolute leader in fifth wheel hitches for a reason, they certinley are not cheap, yet they sell them by the thousands.
Anyway, sorry for my thoughts on the Reese... The B&W OEM for Ram would be my recommendation for your application.
Thanks!
