There is NO problem with this. Believe it or not it's EAZY to tow trailers... Especially with the HP the modern trucks are putting down.
Heck I remember being AMAZED that the new then 1996 Silverado Vortec 350 was going to make 260 ish hp and 330 ish lb ft tq. I mean. Who needs more than that in a half ton???
What bothers me is that it's ok to use a Dually to tow something 2.5 times heavier than the TV. But Heaven Forbid that a Half Ton user tow up to their max trailer weight.
My 97 F150 had an 8000 lb tow rating. It didn't blink at 7000 lbs.
