- Bill001ExplorerI wrote the Wynns describing comments from this forum.... This is what they said:
"That’s the downside to forums, everybody has an opinion even if they’ve never seen/used one. We keep our thermostat to 45 in the winter and everything works just fine".
Here is the link to their series of videos concerning the compositing toilet they actually use and have installed into their 2nd RV; continuing to use. See the comments below in their web page from some folks who also have installed a composting toilet.

Great response, as it is for our whe culture. - garbonzExplorer

Hi,
Has anyone switch to the composting toilet? Is so, please expound on your experience with the conversion.
Thanks,
Bill
This is the topic, not anything else.
1 Has anyone switch to the composting toilet?
2 Is so, please expound on your experience with the conversion.
If you have not switched then why do you insist on posting on this thread?
Wayne
You don't get to decide what people are allowed to write about.
Many of us are responding to Option #3: Have you investigated switching to a composting toilet in your rig and decided not to? Why?

sleepy, I'm thinking this is off topic.

Actually it is what we are trying to make safe in our disposal systems. Time is a necessary componet to make our waste safe. You camper holds it safely... your margerita maka transfers it to a safe place for LONG term treatment
I hope you understand.... I have camped with you... I know that you are conciousis... leave nothing behind but you shadow and tire tracks.
You are getting tiring. - Bill001ExplorerI'm surprise ya'll are still beating to death this topic....
There seems to be a lot more opinion then actual experience being reported.
Seems to me someone said "I" have a bad attitude for trying to keep the conversation on track, then someone complains that I'm not chiming back it enough.
As I last wrote, I will take the thoughts expressed here and see what the Wynns have to say, since they do have a functioning system and chose into install a composter again in their new rig. I also wrote I would report back when I got a reply from them - notevenExplorer IIISh*t needs to be bathed in clean fresh water prior to disposal for the world to function correctly.

Yeah, he really wanted to hear something else. I guess it was that his idea was unique and wonderful and perfect and none of us had ever thought of it. He's kind of a type, on alternative-y forums. - Reddog1Explorer IIThe OP could be frustrated with some of the responses.
Wayne - NaioExplorer IIThanks, Wayne.
I think composting toilets are great. Why waste the waste?! I'm looking for a good deal on one for my S&B.
But for the long RV trips I do, sadly not practical. I do pee in a jug, though, and pour it on plants when acceptable. E.g. currently, I am driveway camped and putting it on my friends' roses. I don't do that at RV parks, though :).
It's not composting toilets I have a problem with it's the OP's attitude. - Reddog1Explorer II

I'm so sorry, Wayne, I mistook you for the OP! Of course mods do get to set rules about posts :).
Again, terribly sorry.
Apology accepted. For clarification, the Moderators do not set the rules about posts. We do try to moderate following the rules. Best I can do here is per the following rule, "... Moderators have to make difficult judgment calls, but remember, they are human. If you have a concern about a particular moderator or treatment of a post by a moderator, email websitesupport@goodsam.com."
