Somebody mentioned giving the dealer a large sum of money. That is not correct, you would be giving Ford a large sum of money and the dealer not so much. I agree that the response should have been much better, but I've learned from search engine and other referrals that the time of day the email is sent says a lot. Business hours and early evening you have a shot of selling something. After dinner time half of them are drunk or high and couldn't buy a beach chair at Wal*Mart. I still reply professionally however. The close rate of in person visits has hovered around 20% for many years, the close rate on emails is probably less than 5%. By close rate I mean the percentage of contacts that actually buy. Lots of dreamers out there. I am not referring to the RV.Net population when I say that, but the overall population.
