I went with the resident expert - DW! She wanted the fiberglass... we got the fiberglass. :)
She said she liked the smooth sides better than the corrugated.
And that is all there is to it for me. I don't like the galvanized-sinc-sheet look of the corrugated sides - makes the RV look cheap and cheesy to me. I much prefer the finished smooth look. Like you washing and waxing ensures the fiberglass RV keeps up its good looks. On the other hand from what I have heard it is easy to make localized repairs on the corrugated sided trailers since these come in panels ..?
Your right ...new trailer for new trailer the fiberglass sided looks better. There are some new colors in the aluminum siding, think Zinger or Salem, that look pretty good.
The issue I have with fiberglass is what they look like in 5-15 years. Where I live you can go to pretty much any campground and see older fiberglass trailers with big Delimitation bubbles down the sides.
They all have issues, pros and cons.... Pick the ones you can live with and go for it. For me it's sticks and tin....
