Corrugated or smooth outer finish?

I have owned both types of siding. I find the fiberglass is way easier to keep clean. Mine is 35' long and with a sponge mop I can wash the whole thing in an hour.
The black streaks happen on any type skin. The streaks come from dirt washing off the roof. Keep the roof clean, eliminate the streaks. But the main thing, I believe, which one has the floor plan and amenities you want?

What you say makes a lot of sense, BigDaddyHfx.

Only thing is, with us we simply ignored the corrugated ones and looked at the floorplans among the fibreglass ones and found the floorplan we love. So I suppose there could be a floorplan out there that is even more perfect in some way than the trailer we have, but we are not looking to find it. ;)

I say find the trailer with the size, weight, layout, length and price you want first. If you have to choose between two trailers with different exteriors THEN decide which you want. I wouldn't limit myself to one or the other and have to pass up on a trailer that met all my wants except what was on the outside.

We have had both types and prefer the fiberglass over the corrugated. I have found that the fiberglass is easier to keep clean and while it can get the black streaks they are not as hard to clean off as they were on the corrugated material. Plus we like the looks of the fiberglass better.

Your right ...new trailer for new trailer the fiberglass sided looks better. There are some new colors in the aluminum siding, think Zinger or Salem, that look pretty good.

The issue I have with fiberglass is what they look like in 5-15 years. Where I live you can go to pretty much any campground and see older fiberglass trailers with big Delimitation bubbles down the sides.

They all have issues, pros and cons.... Pick the ones you can live with and go for it. For me it's sticks and tin....

Much the same as already posted, DW liked the look of the fiberglass better and we are on our second trailer with fiberglass sides. It gets a bath after every trip and is waxed at least twice a year mainly because of the Florida sun. We store it indoors so it stays outta the elements.

She said she liked the smooth sides better than the corrugated. Plus, our last TT, an '08 Roo 23SS, was smooth sided and we had no problems with it. Kept it washed and waxed.

Do a search here and you'll find thousands of opinions on the subject. Watch for the old timers who think anything other than what they have is the only thing to have. You can get some good info here most times if you know how to look. You just need to know how to filter out lots of superfluous stuff to get real world opinions..

Fiberglass units can get black streaks too. Fiberglass will hold up to the weather fine if you take the time to keep it waxed and protected from the elements. I looked at stick & tin, but went with fiberglass.
