- niftypkgExplorerI installed a small A/C at floor level near the door in my Sunlite. In this spot I suppose there was an access door for a battery. I bought this camper because the former owner started the project and included the A/C. The unit starts but after about 15 minutes the compressor cuts out. Maybe several reasons: The shore line was only plugged into a house circuit; There is not enough ventilation in the truck bed behind the fins and the compressor overheats then the thermo protection circuit opens. After 15 minutes the compressor restarts (The blower continues to run). ( Could be the compressor was not getting enough voltage?)There is a circuit breaker GFI on the units OEM cord which is plugged into a 20 amp camper outlet. That 20 amp converter camper breaker did not pop. In fact no breaker popped. Thought my experience might help others. Any suggestions?

There were some good threads on how to install window mount AC but could not find them.
There's still mine on me blog ;). - stefstufExplorerJust a quick note on buying from Costco as a non-member: I cannot say as to buying at a warehouse location (nearest one 100+ miles away), but you can buy online at cost.com with a 5% non-member surcharge added on.
I just received an aluminum tongue box for the front of my cargo trailer from costco.com.
The exact same box (same manufacturer and item number) from Walmart is priced at $220.50 ($209, plus tax), with free shipping to the local Walmart 4 miles from here.
The Costco price was $166.15 ($149.99, plus $7.50 surcharge, plus tax) with free shipping and handling to my door.
This was the first time I bought from them, but will not be the last.

I bought a Frigiaire 5000 btu model that runs very well off of my Yamaha 1000 watt generator. It has enough power to run the AC, charge the batteries and run a computer. The 5000 btu AC will cool my Avion C-11 in the middle of the summer, in Phoenix, as long as it is in some shade.
Nice. I imagine all of these small units will run on the Honda 2000 generator. We are using 2 inches of R13 insulation so I think 5000 or 6000 btu will be fine. - 69_AvionExplorerI bought a Frigiaire 5000 btu model that runs very well off of my Yamaha 1000 watt generator. - sonoraExplorerSears has a 5,200 BTU model that has a low amp draw. I plan on adding it to my Northstar MC600 with thermal pack popup camper.

So , what is the make and model ? I don't see anything like it on their web site . I have seen quite a few in the 5-6000 range but for what I have in mind dimensions are critical, always looking .

Dimensions: (16.2 in. x 15.7 in. x 12.3 in.)
Most of the ones I have seen are a bit bigger than this, which is why I thought it was rather compact...but I haven't looked really hard so this may just be average. - ticki2ExplorerSo , what is the make and model ?
