Hello,We are considering purchasing a new (to us) Yukon XL to tow our Rockwood Roo 23SS. We're pretty close to making the deal, pending a clean inspection by our mechanic, but we're about $500 different in the price. What kind of extras could I ask for that would bring value to me, but not cause the dealer to run away?Here's the link to the vehicle:Yukon XLThe only two things I can think of are1) A full tank of gas (it's on E right now!)2) Installation of my brake controller. Rear camera on truck....My 2010 F150 came with one as part of the towing package...I probably would have never installed one on my own but after getting this I don't know how I have done without one now. I line up first time every time. This has the range one foot markers with beep alarms. You can see the trailer hitch go over the top of the truck hitch ball. $8500 for a 10-year old truck?Is the "trailer wiring" the round 7-pole "Bargman" trailer connector on the back bumper? Ya need this on the truck plus a brake controller. I don't think Chevy put a built-in controller on the truck until very recently. Tekonsha P4 is still my controller of choice for an add-on.-- Chuck

First of all: a 1500 full of kids/equipment will chew up your payload before you even hitch up. You may want to consider a HD pickup or used work van with HD chassis.

Just some answers to your question instead of a lecture...I'm sure you evaluated the price and the vehicle

You'll still need a brake controller. If I remember right (I had a similar suburban)it was just a simple plug in to a module by the brake pedal - had to order the right pigtail for ~$10 or so. I'm sure you'll love the Yukon XL - they make great tow vehicles for those of us that can't devote a dedicated dually 1 ton for a few trips a year!!

Extras that you can ask for: A few free oil changes or car washes are always nice to have around and the dealer should be able to throw those in pretty easy.

Or you could purchase a Class 8 Semi to tow with

KBB.com has that vehicle in a range from $7200 to $8400. Doesn't sound like your dealer is giving you very much. At that mileage and price I would keep shopping. Good luck in you search.
